Internet & Email Frequently Asked Questions
I don't have internet access
If you have lost internet access, here is a list of things you can try at home:
- Restart your modem – restarting your modem can often be all it takes to get your internet connection back up and running again, and it only takes a few minutes. Simply unplug the power, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in again.
- Try another device – trying another device on your network (whether it be another computer, a tablet, or a phone) can help to narrow down whether it is the whole internet connection that has gone down, or just the connection on that specific device.
I get "550 Administrative Prohibition" when sending emails
If you have trouble sending emails, and you either get an email bounceback, or a message on your screen saying that the message couldn’t be sent, and the message details contain “550 Administrative Prohibition”, generally this means you have reached your email quota for the day.
For emails hosted with VirtualCity, the following sending limitations apply:
50 recipients per email
250 emails per day
Most of the time, this issue is resolved at midnight, when the daily count is reset. If this issue persists for you, please let us know, and we can chase up a resolution for you.
